WIN, the UK's only women's interfaith organisation engaging in dialogue with all faiths, seeks enthusiastic interns with an interest in interfaith activities to join a small team. There are opportunities to work on organising events, meeting local groups and to research and develop ideas for future WIN projects.
Interns will be required to commit to a three month period, working at Head office in London for three days per week. Travelling expenses for interns will be reimbursed.
For all enquiries about an Internship please contact email@example.com
WIN was formed as a response to 9/11 by two friends, one Muslim and one Jewish, both well-known women in their respective communities, to promote dialogue and combat bigotry. Our aim is to dispel division and fear by giving women a voice to build more inclusive communities.
WIN is composed of several women's groups in London and the South East that are affiliated to WIN Head Office. The groups consist of members from different faiths and cultures who meet regularly to engage in meaningful dialogue and events that contribute towards building a more tolerant and inclusive society. WIN currently has over 200 members.
Head Office supports members with high profile events, two annual newsletters and support in running and organising groups. WIN is open to all women, including women of no faith who are encouraged to join and support the aims of the organisation. WIN has organised over 50 events attended by 1,000 women and their families.
"I believe in equal rights for women and don't believe gender is a reason to be seen as inferior and passive, when we have enormous potential to change the world for the greater good if given the opportunity".
"Very interesting exhibition enjoyed the patchwork quilted piece and interesting article on Women of Faith. Spirit of Womanhood Exhibition".
